New Jersey Guard Has High D-1 Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan had a chance to speak to New Jersey Playaz program director Jimmy Salmon about one of his best players -- Myles Davis, a guard from the state of New Jersey ...

New Jersey Playaz' director Jimmy Salmon possesses a long list of terrific high school basketball players that have come through his highly regarded AAU program. So, when Salmon speaks about players, you listen.

2011 prospect Myles Davis is a player that Salmon is very high on for the next couple of years. Davis will play with the 16 and under Playaz team at an event held at the Hoop Zone on May 16th and 17th (just over the George Washington Bridge on Route 4).

Davis, who plays for St. Peter's in Jersey City, New Jersey, averaged 20 points a game this past season as a sophomore.

"He is a gifted offensive player," said Salmon. "He has the ability to produce points from many spots on the floor. He's an exciting player to watch as well."

St. Joe's, Villanova, and Fordham have already caught the excitement regarding Davis' skill level. Each of these schools have offered a scholarship.

This website expects to cover some of the Playaz run event on May 16th and 17th. It appears to have some solid national presence as the Ohio Basketball Club will be in town to compete against many of the top teams from this area.
