Area School Is Involved With Philly Prospect

Reporter Mike Sullivan has an updated recruiting story on Shaquille Duncan, a forward prospect from the city of Philadelphia. An area school is also now involved with this 2010 recruit ...

Shaquille Duncan, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward from Frankfort High School in Philadelphia, Penn., continues to see his recruiting list expand.

It's no surprise to the coaches that watch him play and practice each week. Shaquille is going to compete for two of the better AAU teams in the area, Paul Gripper's Team Phenom and Matt Pauls' Team NJABC. He'll split time between these two talented basketball programs in an effort to make himself a high division one prospect.

The current junior, who is a member of the 2010 class, has the ability to damage a team with his offensive skills. He's athletic and does have the capability to knock down a jumper.

We previously reported our thoughts on his individual game:

Shaquille has the ability to knock down the medium range jumper. He also possesses long arms which help him retrieve loose balls off the glass at both ends of the court.

As he strengthens his frame, Duncan will finish more effectively near the rim against the bigger bodies.

CURRENT SCHOOLS INTERESTED:: You can add Fairfield to the list of schools for Shaquille Duncan. The coaching staff at Fairfield has done an excellent job on the East Coast in identifying some of the best prospects for its program too.

Besides Fairfield, Robert Morris, Stony Brook, Nebraska, Florida, and LSU have shown some form of interest in Duncan's individual game, according to Matt Pauls' of Team NJABC.
