Vaughn Gray, a 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard/small forward from Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey, is a 2011 prospect that is starting to attract some division one interest in his skill level.

Gray, who competes for Jimmy Salmon's AAU Playaz Club in key spring and summer AAU events, has improved his play enough where he's likely to have several schools follow his progress this summer.

"My coach has heard from Providence and Massachusetts," said Gray, who averaged 17 points, five rebounds and a couple of assists last season as a sophomore at Don Bosco Prep.

With the Playaz, Gray averaged between 10 and 15 points a game. Salmon has expressed many positive words when describing Vaughn's play and how he is getting better game by game.

Gray is flexible about playing the shooting guard and small forward position. But he does appear to be more comfortable in one. "I like the small forward position," he said. "It gives me a chance to do more things."

One aspect that Vaughn is working on is his shooting. "I want to be more consistent," he said. "I'm also working on getting stronger and being a better rebounder."

The Playaz Club plans on participating in the Bob Gibbons tournament this Memorial Day weekend in North Carolina. In addition, Gray plans on being at the Rumble in the Bronx in June as well as the major events in the July evaluation period.
