2011 New Jersey Prospect Has Big Summer Ahead

Reporter Mike Sullivan has an update on a forward from the state of New Jersey in Eric Fanning, a 2011 prospect who has a big summer ahead of AAU ball ...

Eric Fanning, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound combo forward from Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey, is hearing from many MAAC, Southern, NEC and America East programs, according to Team NJABC head coach Matt Pauls.

"They are all intrigued by his offensive ability," said Pauls. "Eric hits the offensive boards as good as anyone his size and class in New Jersey."

Fanning scores many of his points on second chance rebounds near the rim. "His mid-range game has improved a lot," said Pauls. "He continues to work on his ballhandling."

There has been improvement in the above category. "He has been consistently beating guys off the bounce, getting to the rack with thunderous dunks," Pauls stated.

Eric, a 2011 prospect, also has opened up another option for him college and university wise. "He has excellent grades, so I am sure he will start hearing from some of the academic division one programs," Pauls concluded.

Eric plays for Randy Morrison at Trenton Central and will compete for one of the NJABC teams this summer.
