New Jersey Guard Will Take Trips This Month

Frantz Massenat, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound lead guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey, is expected to take a couple of visits this month to two division one programs, according to NJABC head coach Matt Pauls.

"On June 18, he will be taking an unofficial visit to Boston University to see what the new coach of BU, Patrick Chambers," said Pauls. "He wants to take this visit to see what the new coach has in store for the BU program and how he might fit in."

Frantz will also stay in the state and take another visit. "On June 19 he will take an unofficial visit to Massachusetts to spend some time with Coach Derek Kellogg and his staff," Pauls added. "He's trying to get a feel for the Atlantic Ten school."

It was a solid year of progress for Massenat and his physical skills as a basketball player. "Frantz has had an excellent spring and has dramatically improved his strength, speed and three-point shooting," said Pauls.

Previously, Massenat had taken an unofficial visit to Penn State.

He is a 2010 prospect and an excellent student. Ivy League and Patriot League schools have kept involved in his recruiting process.

The schools who had also shown some interest were Fordham, Rider, Iona, St. Joe's, Temple, Niagara, and La Salle.
