HIGH SCHOOL: Albany Academy in Albany, New York

POSITIONS: Point Guard/Shooting Guard

CLASS: 2010, A rising senior

AAU TEAM: Albany City Rocks

AAU TEAM'S PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Jim Hart

COLLEGE INTERESTS: "Jamel should be a player that should help out the Fairfield program right away," said Albany City Rocks program director and head coach of the 17 and under team this spring and summer, Jim Hart.

"He's always had confidence and he gets to the rim strong."

The coaching staff of Fairfield has done an excellent job locating recruits early and landing some solid commitments.

Jamel presents problems for smaller guards with his strength. He has the ability to score in the paint due to his strength.

Fields scored 27 points to help his team upend a very talented Bishop Loughlin High School of the highly regarded Catholic League in New York City.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES IN JAMEL FIELDS' INDIVIDUAL GAME: It can be said that his strength and weakness is measured from his confidence and aggressiveness.

Jamel has always had the heart and strength to take his dribble to the front of the rim against the big frames. Not afraid to get knocked down, he make the spinning drive to draw the hard foul too.
