2011 New Jersey Forward Has Solid Looks

Reporter Mike Sullivan updates us on the individual game and recruiting status of Eric Fanning, a 2011 prospect from the state of New Jersey who should receive some looks from division one programs this summer ...

Eric Fanning, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound combo forward from Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey, is a rising junior prospect but is already hearing from several division one programs from such conferences like the MAAC, Southern, NEC and America East programs, according to Team NJABC head coach Matt Pauls.

Fanning had a chance to showcase his skills at the St. Joseph's basketball camp in Philadelphia, Penn.

Pauls said Fanning's ability to be a productive player on the offensive end has many college coaches interested early in his recruiting process.

"Eric played well at the St. Joe's camp," said Pauls. "They saw that he works hard on the offensive boards too. He scores many of his points on second, third, and fourth opportunities. He just doesn't quit near the rim."

Fanning is working hard this summer on improving his perimeter game. "His mid-range game is getting better," said Pauls.

Fanning, a 2011 prospect, is also a terrific student, giving him ample opportunities with strong academic schools too.

Eric competes for talented head coach Randy Morrison at Trenton Central.
