Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free look at the individual game of a player from the state of New Jersey who is receiving some solid division one looks ...

Kazembe Abif, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound inside forward from University High School in Newark, New Jersey, is a 2010 prospect who is worth watching this summer on the AAU circuit.

Abir is hoping a big summer, especially during the month of July during the evaluation period, will help him land more division one interest in his skill level.

He will likely compete for highly regarded head coach Matt Pauls of Team NJABC at some AAU events over the next two months.

WHAT MATT PAULS IS SAYING ABOUT KAZEMBE ABIR:

Kaz is a player who plays above the rim and effectively in the paint. He tough to stop around the basket. He can dunk on you and make you pay if you leave him with a loose ball near the basket. He's been working hard on trying to improve his perimeter game.

UNIVERSITIES/COLLEGES OF INTEREST:

Monmouth, Stony Brook, Fairfield, Fordham. "There are schools from the MAAC and Atlantic 10 keeping in touch," said Pauls.

*Abif is also a very good student too so the Ivy and Patriot League schools are watching him.
