Ryan McCoy, a 6-foot-6, 180-pound forward from Montgomery High School in the state of New Jersey, landed a scholarship offer from The Citadel, according to Team NJABC head coach Matt Pauls.

"Ryan was invited and attended the Rutgers Elite Camp and had a great showing," said Pauls. "He was invited and attended the American University Elite Camp and had a great showing there too."

In addition, Ryan took an unofficial visit to Fairfield University today.

WHAT MATT PAULS PREVIOUSLY SAID ABOUT RYAN MCCOY'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Because of his size and his ability to score points on many parts of the floor, college coaches are interested.

"He's only going to be a junior next Fall. So he has some time to make even more progress in his game. I expect him to become a better player because he's a hard worker.

He's emerging as one of the better players in the area from his class. He can play the wing position. He is one of the best pure shooters in the 2011 class (New Jersey).

OTHER SCHOOLS OF INTEREST:

Many Patriot League and Ivy League programs are involved. Previously mentioned: Columbia, Cornell, Robert Morris, and Davidson.
