Summer Is Good Time For Making Progress

Reporter Mike Sullivan takes a look at the individual game of a big man from the state of New Jersey ...

Jack Taylor, a 6-foot-11, 235-pound center from The Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, already has the size to attract some division one interest.

The question for this prospect is whether he makes enough progress to land some offers in the future. The good news is that Jack is a member of the 2011 class, a rising junior.

He's seen some time with the young teams for Team NJABC. One of the coaches, Matt Pauls, believes he'll make more progress this summer working on his individual game.

"He's young and still learning the game," he said. "He works hard so he'll improve."

*The plan for this summer and fall is that Taylor see time playing for both the 16 and 17 year old teams for Team NJABC.

*Team NJABC, along with several other key AAU basketball programs in the tri-state area, are expected to compete at the Wide World of Sports in the Super Showcase. We expect to file reports from there on all four days.
