Bishop Ford Claims Victory Over Holy Cross

FLUSHING, NEW YORK -- The Bishop Ford coaching staff has done a terrific job over the past few years of developing talent. The latest player to make the jump to the division one college ranks is super energy guard Chaz Williams, who is currently preparing for his freshman year at Hofstra.

So, it's always wise to take a look at the talent the Brooklyn based high school will have on display this fall. Even without talented junior Kamari Murphy playing with the Long Island Lightning AAU program, Bishop Ford scored a 42-38 overtime victory over Holy Cross High School.

This was the fourth game of five in the second day of three in the Super Hoop Jamfest, held at Holy Cross and run by boy's basketball head coach Paul Gilvary.

One particular player stood out for the Falcons of Bishop Ford -- Matthew Hall, the 6-foot-1, 150-pound guard. He's a rising senior who is starting to get some division one interest, according to the coaching staff of Bishop Ford.

Hall scored 13 points to lead his team and recently had Drexel showing some intrigue with his individual game.

Helping Hall along was rising junior Eric Kippins. He scored 11 points while teammate Chris Best added eight and Naquan Ellerbe had six.

For Holy Cross, junior big man Marcus Hoppper had 11 points, including a three-pointer.
