Guard Prospect Gaining Division One Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan updates the July of New Jersey guard prospect Frantz Massenat, who has helped the Team NJABC pull off some impressive tournament victories ...

Frantz Massenat, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound lead guard from Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, New Jersey, continues to have an impressive July under his AAU head coach, Matt Pauls of Team NJABC.

"He has played very well, helping us to some big victories," said Pauls.

Division one programs are noticing too. Recently, Drexel had offered a scholarship while schools like Boston University, Massachusetts, Harvard, and Northeastern have been watching his progress.

Over the past week, Massenat has helped Team NJABC claim the Joe Brown Memorial tournament held in Englewood, New Jersey. "He's working well with everyone," said Pauls.

Massenat is still wide open in his recruiting process. It's likely the list will expand once the July evaluation period ends.

The next stop for Massenat is the Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida from July 24th to the 27th.

WHAT TEAM NJABC HEAD COACH MATT PAULS SAID ABOUT FRANTZ MASSENAT'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

"Frantz has had an excellent spring and has dramatically improved his strength, speed and three-point shooting. He works very hard and can help a team win a game in many different ways. He's a great kid too and has many options open to him."
