New Jersey Underclassman Off To Good Start

Reporter Mike Sullivan has an update on the summer of New Jersey basketball/soccer prospect, Chandler Fraser-Pauls, who is competing for Team NJABC this summer during the summer July evaluation period ...

Chandler Fraser-Pauls, a 6-foot, 160-pound basketball/soccer player from the Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, has gotten off to a nice start during the July evaluation period.

Pauls has produced some solid games, including scoring 22 points in an Elite 8 game in West Virginia to help Team NJABC upend Team Phenom from Philadelphia in the 16 and under category.

An accomplished soccer player too as well as a terrific student, Chandler has many doors open to him regarding the college process.

PREVIOUS THOUGHTS ABOUT CHANDLER'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Chandler has made progress in his mid-range perimeter game. His consistency is improved too. Plus, he is becoming more efficient in the area of taking the ball to the basket and creating his own shot.

CAMPS ATTENDED: Columbia, Penn, Cornell, Bucknell and St. Joe's of Philadelphia.

COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES OF INTEREST: Chandler has many options as we indicated above. He can go either the basketball or soccer route. And he can also see what might be available if he was interested in playing both sports.

We reported previously that Fraser-Pauls was hearing from several Ivy and Patriot League programs. In addition, he had been receiving some initial interest from Colgate, Penn, Niagara, Davidson, Boston University, and Elon.

SOCCER - COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES OF INTEREST: Amherst, NYU, Wesleyan, Emory, Kenyon, Ohio Wesleyan and Middlebury have already sent info regarding a chance to compete in soccer and basketball at their respective schools.
