EARLY COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY INTEREST IN TARIQ CAREY: St. John's, Monmouth, SMU, St. Peter's, St. Joseph's, and Siena

*Tariq's July got off to a sizzling start as he was selected to play in the Eastern Invitational underclassmen all star game.

Several schools have jumped on Carey early, keeping an eye on his progress. It's early too. So many schools are going to take their time.

Previously, this website reported that Carey has taken an unofficial visit to SMU and also attended Norm Roberts' St. John's Elite camp.

STRENGTHS IN HIS INDIVIDUAL GAME: Can handle the ball effectively and doesn't mind challenging the bigger bodies inside the paint with drives to the basket.

A player who can score, Tariq has plenty of time to (A.) strengthen his frame, (B.) Develop more consistency in his perimeter effectiveness, and (C.) Become a better decision maker with the basketball.
