New Jersey Forward Has Some D-1 Looks

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free player story on Tyler McNeely, a power forward from the state of New Jersey, who is currently competing down in Florida ...

Tyler McNeely, a 6-foot-7 power forward from Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey, is making an impression on his AAU coach, Matt Pauls of Team NJABC.

McNeely, considered a very aggressive forward in the paint, has helped Team NJABC run off some impressive victories while playing at the Super Showcase at Disney World.

"He has done a nice job of rebounding the ball and defending," said Pauls. "He is also able to use both hands to finish around the rim."

Pauls has previously praised McNeely's individual game when talking to us. But, he's noticed that he's using his physical skills more too.

"He has a very big frame and is super strong," stated Pauls.

McNeely, a 2010 prospect, has division one interest from Yale, Columbia, Penn, Penn State, Brown, Holy Cross, Princeton, Lafayette, Lehigh, and Bucknell.

A terrific student, McNeely has many options as he prepares to finish up the July evaluation period.

A solid student, Tyler will have some tremendous opportunities down the road in deciding where he wants to go to college.

"He's open in his recruiting," Pauls said.
