Joey Gripper, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound point guard from Abington Friends High School in Jenkintown, Penn., had such a great summer that several schools are now involved in his recruiting process. Gripper played this summer for the 16 and under AAU team, Team Phenom.

Gripper averaged 12 points, seven assists and three steals for the better part of the July evaluation period.

According to family members, Joey is now planning a campus trip. "He's expected to visit Davidson," said Mr. Paul Gripper.

Head coach Bob McKillop is one of the best teachers in the game of college basketball and Davidson presents an incredible academic opportunity.

Sources tell us that if Davidson offers, it's likely that Gripper will make a commitment.
