New Jersey Guard Attends West Coast Camp

Reporter Mike Sullivan has a free look at the individual game of Chandler Fraser-Pauls, an underclassman guard from The Pennington School in New Jersey ...

Chandler Fraser-Pauls, a 6-foot, 160-pound basketball/soccer player from the Pennington School in Pennington, New Jersey, completed a guard camp at the University of California in Riverside. According to his AAU coach, Matt Pauls, it was a great camp to learn both on and off the court.

THOUGHTS ON CHANDLER'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Chandler has an above average perimeter shot, more effective when shooting within the flow of a setup offense. He's also tough and possesses confidence, including taking on the bigger bodies near the rim.

An accomplished soccer player as well as being a very good student will open up many avenues of opportunities for this underclassman, a rising junior. He'll get stronger and his perimeter game will become more consistent too.

PREVIOUS THOUGHTS ABOUT CHANDLER'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Chandler has made progress in his mid-range perimeter game. His consistency is improved too. Plus, he is becoming more efficient in the area of taking the ball to the basket and creating his own shot.
