Tri-State Guard Prospect Has Solid D-1 Looks

Reporter Mike Sullivan has an update on a player who previously had committed to a high division one basketball program. But now his recruiting process has changed ...

Danny Lawhorn, a 5-foot-10 guard from South Kent School in Connecticut, indicated he's still open in his recruiting process. He recently had received a scholarship offer from St. Bonaventure.

"Villanova has been showing interest too," said Danny, who transferred to South Kent last week.

Previously, Lawhorn was recruited by several high division one programs and had made a verbal commitment to Boston College. He later changed his mind.

Lawhorn has reclassified to the 2011 class, giving him two more seasons to make improvements in his individual game. He also has other offers from division one programs.

"Fairfield, St. Peter's, and Rutgers have offered me a scholarship," he said.

In addition to Villanova being involved, Danny also mentioned UAB as being a school of interest in his recruiting process.

Previously, Lawhorn mentioned interest in Fordham, Baylor, Maryland, South Florida, and Texas.
