East Coast Forward Chooses A School

Reporter Mike Sullivan has an update on the recruiting status of an East Coast forward, who recently made a decision ...

Shaquille Duncan, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward from Frankfort High School in Philadelphia, Penn., made a verbal commitment to Niagara, according to one of his AAU coaches, Paul Gripper of Team Phenom.

Duncan had a solid summer, playing with Team Phenom as well as Matt Pauls of Team NJABC.

We previously reported that Duncan had been interested in George Mason, Nebraska, Arkansas Little Rock, Virginia Commonwealth, Boston University, Seton Hall, Fairfield, Iona, and Siena.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF DUNCAN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

As he strengthens his frame, this will allow Shaquille to finish better in traffic against the big bodies inside the paint and near the rim.

The senior has shown us he has the ability to play against quality competition. Here are our previous thoughts about his individual game:

Shaquille has the ability to knock down the medium range jumper. He also possesses long arms which help him retrieve loose balls off the glass at both ends of the court.

As he strengthens his frame, Duncan will finish more effectively near the rim against the bigger bodies.
