Irving Dazzles In An IS8 Fall League Game

Reporter Mike Sullivan was at IS8 in South Jamaica, Queens for a Fall League game between Sports University and the New York Elite ... Kyrie Irving put on a dazzling show ...

Kyrie Irving, fresh off of cutting his list down to four schools, ripped off 31 points and handed out 15 assists to lead Sports University to a 93-79 victory over the New York Elite in an IS8 Fall League game.

"I just tried to get our team going in the second half," said Irving, who produced 12 points in the final quarter.

The Elite had held a slight advantage, 45-42, at the half, until Kyrie got rolling in the third and fourth quarters.

He dazzled the crowd in the small South Jamaica gym with beautiful touch passes, setting up teammates for easy layups. Then he started smoking the Elite defense with long-range bombs.

Speaking to him after the game, Irving said he was happy to help his team to a win. However, it will be difficult for him to play in any more pool games as he has lined up several visits, as outlined by Evan Daniels and Dave Telep on the Scout.com network.

"Everyone has a chance," he said, referring to his visit list.

Today, though, the Elite had none.
