New York Guard Has Great Big East Visit

Danny Lawhorn, a 5-foot-10 guard from South Kent School in Connecticut, said he had a terrific visit to Providence College over the weekend.

"I had a great time," Lawhorn said, who said he was born in Harlem. "I think they are going to be in my top ten."

Lawhorn said he enjoyed meeting the coaches and players. "It's a great school," he said. "I had a lot of fun there."

He stated in a recent report that he has interest in other division one basketball programs.

"Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, Florida and South Florida have been interested," he said previously, after telling us that Villanova, St. Bonaventure, Rutgers, Fairfield, St. Peter's, Fordham, Baylor, Maryland, UAB, and Texas were of interest. Danny recently picked up an offer from North Dakota State.

Lawhorn has reclassified to the 2011 class and is a current junior guard prospect.
