Trip To West Coast Might Happen For NY Guard

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a recruiting update on the status of Danny Lawhorn, a New York guard now competing at South Kent School in Connecticut ...

Danny Lawhorn, a 5-foot-10 guard from South Kent School in Connecticut, says he's still considering taking some campus trips but it will be difficult because he's not eligible for official visits.

"I should be taken a Cali (California) trip and see the campus," he said, noting he's now a current junior, reclassified. "But I'm not sure cause I can't take officials any more."

Baylor is also involved with Lawhorn. "They came to see me recently," he said. "I have a good feeling for them. They run up and down. I like the up tempo." Danny has come off a great campus trip to Providence College. "I enjoyed the campus," he said previously to us. "And the team was great and the way the fans treat the players."

*Lawhorn, born in New York City, is a tough guard, willing to take the ball to the rim against the bigger bodies. He competes hard on both ends of the court.

Previous schools Danny has mentioned to us as being of interest:

Florida, South Florida, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, Villanova, St. Bonaventure, Rutgers, Fairfield, St. John's, St. Peter's, Fordham, Baylor, Maryland, UAB, and Texas.
