PLAYER PROFILE: Zach Taylor

HEIGHT: 5-foot-10

WEIGHT: 158 Pounds

CLASS: A current junior, member of the class of 2011. Taylor reclassified, giving himself an extra season under head coach Jere Quinn and a chance to learn and polish the fundamentals of his individual game.

POSITION: Point Guard

FORMER HIGH SCHOOL: St. Luke's School in Connecticut

FORMER HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Kevin Anthony

PREP SCHOOL: St. Thomas More in Oakdale, Connecticut

PREP SCHOOL HEAD COACH: Jere Quinn, a no nonsense type of coach, who stresses fundamentals and working within a stable offensive set.

"He's a tough coach," Taylor said previously. "But I know once I come out his program I'm gonna be a better and tougher player!"

Taylor has also benefited from competing also at St. Lukes too, considered a terrific place to learn the game of basketball.

AAU TEAM: Connecticut Basketball Club, considered among the best AAU programs.

AAU HEAD COACH: J.R. Hargraves, another solid teacher and head coach. This particular program is always competitive at the major events and in the IS8 League.

PREVIOUS SCHOOLS OF INTEREST: "Over Christmas I will be visiting Rutgers and Providence on unofficial trips," Taylor told us.

"I will also be attending a couple games as well. I will also be visiting Seton Hall. Florida has also got in touch."

Taylor previously mentioned interest in Siena, Hofstra, St. Peter's, Rider, Sacred Heart, and Fairfield.
