Albany City Rocks program director and head coach Jim Hart believes that one of his guards, Kyle Callanan, a 6-foot-2, 190-pounder, has the ability to play division one college basketball for the right program.

"He's working hard this season as he always does," said Hart. "He plays hard, makes good decisions with the basketball."

Callanan, who handled some of the lead guard responsibilities for the Albany City Rocks boy's basketball AAU team, is waiting until the spring before signing a letter of intent.

Hart has always indicated he feels Callahan's floor game is good enough for colleges and universities to take a serious look.

"I've always been confident with him having the basketball for us," said Hart.

Callanan, who competes at Mount Anthony in the state of Vermont, had been receiving some interest by Fairfield, some Ivy League schools, Holy Cross, Maine, and Central Connecticut.
