East Coast Underclassman Has D-1 Interest

Kenny Johnson, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound small forward/shooting guard prospect from Abington Friends School in Jenkinstown, Pennsylvania, continues to have a solid season as an underclassman. The 2011 prospect has scored above 20 points on a couple of occasions so far this season.

We previously reported that Kenny scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the first game of the Harrington Tournament.

In the championship game, Johnson added 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help his team claim the tournament title against Harrington. Johnson was named to the all tournament team.

The junior prospect is scorching opponent's defenses for more than 15 points per conetest. He is also very efficient near the rim, utsing his frame to retrieve six rebounds per game.

Kenny, who plays also for Paul Gripper's very competitive Team Phenom AAU basketball program during spring and summer events, has made improvements in all parts of his game so far this season. His ballhandling and perimeter game are improving.

RECRUITING INTEREST:

Pennsylvania, Brown, Columbia, Yale, Wagner and Bryant. He remains open in his recruiting process.
