New York Guard Working Hard For More Ships

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides an update on Danny Lawhorn's season, the New York guard who is competing for South Kent in Connecticut ...

Danny Lawhorn, a 6-foot guard from South Kent School in Connecticut, told us he's trying to work as hard as he can on his game and help his team win some basketball games.

"Just trying to pick up more 'ships (scholarships)," Lawhorn told us.

Lawhorn has told us his list includes Georgia Southern, Michigan, Nevada, Jacksonville, Providence, UCLA, Arizona, Alabama, Rutgers and Fordham.

He previously mentioned interest also from Baylor, Clemson, Houston, Florida International, Bradley, Washington, Fairfield, UAB,and Texas Tech.

Danny is averaging close to a double/double this season in points and assists.

EVALUATION OF DANNY LAWHORN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

*Lawhorn, born in New York City, is a tough guard, willing to take the ball to the rim against the bigger bodies. He competes hard on both ends of the court.
