Upstate Underclassman Worth Watching

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a look at the individual game of shooting guard Stan Wier, an underclassman from the upstate New York area ...

Stan Wier, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound shooting guard/small forward from Nichols High School in Buffalo, New York, is an underclassman who has impressed many coaches, fans, and scouts over the past year.

Wier is being given praise for his overall play for his high school team, a program that features outstanding high division one talent, Will Regan.

Several characteristics are frequently mentioned when discussing Stan Wier's individual game as well as his personality -- a hard worker, competes on each possession on both ends of the court, plays as hard in practice time too.

He's averaging double figures in points so far this season for his high school and is likely to get some serious looks by division one programs during the spring and the summer AAU sessions.

Providence College has been one school monitoring his early high school success.
