New Jersey Underclassman Has Nice Skills

Reporter Mike Sullivan profiles the individual game of a forward prospect from the state of New Jersey who has impressed many people, including his AAU coach ...

Eric Fanning, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound multi-purpose combo forward from Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey, has always been a player coaches love to have on their teams.

One of his AAU coaches, Team NJABC head coach Matt Pauls has always spoken favorably of Fanning's individual game, his skill level, the way he works in practice and in game situations.

WHAT MATT PAULS PREVIOUSLY SAID ABOUT ERIC FANNING AND HIS INDIVIDUAL GAME:

"He practices hard all the time, always looking to make improvements in his game."

Pauls told us previously that Fanning had interest from programs that compete in the Ivy League, MAAC, NEC, Southern Conference and America East.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF ERIC FANNING'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Eric does a nice job in the paint, producing baskets near the rim on second chance efforts. He continues to work on his perimeter game, trying to diversify himself as he prepares for the July evaluation period.

Fanning is a solid student too, opening up some academic options if he wishes to explore them over the next couple of years.

Eric competes very hard on both ends of the court, working hard on every possession, treating each situation wisely.
