Lincoln Ousted In PSAL Quarters By Wings

Reporter Mike Sullivan spent his morning and afternoon at St. John's University to watch the PSAL quarterfinals ... game one featured Lincoln High School against Wings Academy ...

James Blue produced 19 points and Jordan Aaron added another 19 points to lead Wings Academy to a PSAL quarterfinal victory over Lincoln High School, putting a halt to three straight City championship runs by Tiny Morton's terrific basketball program.

The 78-59 victory was seen by a decent crowd at St. John's University in the first of four games played inside Carnesecca Arena. Shaquille Stokes led Lincoln High School with 25 points, including four three-pointers.

But the overall balance of the Wings Academy offense was too much for Lincoln High School to overcome.

Wings Academy will play Boys & Girls High School Wednesday evening at St. John's in the PSAL semifinals.
