New Jersey Prospect Ready For Another Year

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free detailed look at the individual game of forward Kazembe Abif, a forward prospect from the state of New Jersey ...

Kazembe Abif, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound power forward from University High School in Newark, New Jersey, is all set to prepare himself for the division one college basketball level by taking a prep season. Abif is officially reclassified to the 2011 class.

Abif, who will compete for head coach Matt Pauls and Team NJABC during the spring and summer AAU sessions, will compete next season for The Lawrenceville School.

We previously reported that Abif had some interest from Fairfield, Providence, Boston College, St. Peter's, Monmouth, Quinnipiac, St. Joe's of Philadelphia, and Michigan.

We also reported he had offers from Army, NJIT, Boston University, and Lafayette.

WHAT MATT PAULS PREVIOUSLY SAID ABOUT KAZEMBE ABIR:

Kaz is a player who plays above the rim and effectively in the paint. He tough to stop around the basket. He can dunk on you and make you pay if you leave him with a loose ball near the basket. He's been working hard on trying to improve his perimeter game.
