Long Islander Lands A Scholarship Offer

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a player profile update on the recruiting status of former Long Island high school star Josh Elbaum, who recently landed a scholarship offer ...

Josh Elbaum, a 6-foot-3 multi-versatile guard prospect formerly from St. John The Baptist High School on Long Island, New York, told us he has landed a scholarship offer from Wagner, a school based on Staten Island with the New York City limits.

Elbaum previously told us that he also has interest from Siena and Hofstra, schools that are interested in watching him workout this week.

"Wagner wants me to take an official visit," said Elbaum.

Elbaum, who played for one of the country's top prep programs in Northfield Mount Hermon in Massachusetts this past season, is still open in his recruiting process.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

Josh sent in his application to Columbia. In addition, Quinnipiac and Colgate are of interest to him.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION:

Elbaum has shown the ability to help his team in many ways. He has nice size for a lead guard and has impressed the reporters on this website many times with his ability to distribute, score, defend, and rebound.

BRIAN TOWEY'S EVALUATION OF JOSH ELBAUM'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

A pass-first point guard with good size for his position, Elbaum has strong vision and defends well on the ball.
