Area Guard Shines In Local Jordan Brand Game

Reporter Mike Sullivan had a chance to watch several players compete in the three games held at Madison Square Garden in New York City this past weekend ... David Coley was particularly impressive ...

David Coley, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard from Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, New York, finished off a wonderful high school career by producing 20 points on eight of 13 shooting in the local game of the Jordan Brand All Star event.

The three games were held inside Madison Square Garden in New York City and Coley seemed to soak up the atmosphere. "I had a lot of fun," he said. "I enjoyed playing against some of my friends too."

Despite Coley's effort, the Suburban team came away with a 137-133 victory. David also showed his long range skills, dropping in three of six from beyond the three-point line.

He indicated he's working on his strength and consistency before he plays division one basketball.

Coley has given a commitment to the Stony Brook basketball program, a school he should make a solid impact in over a four-year period.
