Playing for the suburban team in the Michael Jordan Brand Classic local game at Madison Square Garden was a great experience for area guard prospect, Aaron Brown.

The event held this past weekend showcased some of the best local, national, and international talent on the high school level.

Brown scored 16 points, including three three-pointers as he showcased his ability to drain jumpers from long range.

The 6-foot-5, 185-pound backcourt player from St. Benedict's Prpe in Newark, New Jersey has already given a commitment to Temple.

"I had a great time playing here," said Brown. "Now I have to prepare myself to play college basketball."

Scout.com's national reporter Dave Telep broke the commitment a while back and got feedback regarding Brown's situation with Temple and his future as a division one player.

"I think it's a great fit," Gray Bees coach Dan Hurley told Scout.com's Telep. "He had a bunch of Ivy's because he's a strong student. He's had (high-major) interest as a backup recruit but I think Temple is the school that he was comfortable with signing early."

Brown, who is also competing in the IS8 Spring League, has terrific range on his jumper and can bust a zone with his three-point shooting.
