Long Islander Has Some Division One Interest

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a detailed look at the game of former Long Island High School star Josh Elbaum, who spent the past season at Northfield Mount Hermon ... Elbaum recently took a campus visit ...

Josh Elbaum, a 6-foot-3 multi-versatile guard prospect formerly from St. John The Baptist High School on Long Island, New York, told us he had a very good trip to Hofstra.

"I really liked it a lot," he said. "I like the coaching staff a lot too."

But Elbaum said he is still open and is likely to take a campus visit to Wagner, a school that has offered him a scholarship too.

Elbaum previously told us that he also has interest from Siena.

Elbaum, who played for one of the country's top prep programs in Northfield Mount Hermon in Massachusetts this past basketball season, is still open in his recruiting process.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

Josh sent in his application to Columbia. In addition, Quinnipiac and Colgate are of interest to him.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION:

Elbaum has shown the ability to help his team in many ways. He has nice size for a lead guard and has impressed the reporters on this website many times with his ability to distribute, score, defend, and rebound.

BRIAN TOWEY'S EVALUATION OF JOSH ELBAUM'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

A pass-first point guard with good size for his position, Elbaum has strong vision and defends well on the ball.
