High-Energy Forward Ready To Make Decision

Reporter Mike Sulivan provides a recruiting report on one of the last quality players left in the 2010 class, a player that competed for the Albany City Rocks last summer ...

Brice Kofane, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward from The Miller School in Charlottesville, Virginia, is ready to make a college decision, according to sources. "He's supposed to announce for Providence at his school later today," said our source.

Kofane, who has competed for one of the country's top AAU programs over the past couple of years in the Albany City Rocks, is a block-producing player with tremendous upside.

PREVIOUS THOUGHTS ON BRICE KOFANE:

"He had 16 blocks against the Gauchos in a game," said Albany City Rocks program director Jim Hart. "How many guys can give you double digits in blocks almost any game?"

PREVIOUS SCHOOLS OF INTEREST:

La Salle, Fairfield, Boston College, Harvard, and Columbia.

Brice, a member of the 2010 class, is a terrific student.

WHAT JIM HART THINKS OF BRICE KOFANE'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

"He's a great defender, helps out out so much near the basket. He's working on his skills now. He is a high-energy player for us. He lifts us. He can create havoc near the rim on both ends of the court."
