WHAT TEAM NJABC HEAD COACH MATT PAULS SAID PREVIOUSLY ABOUT WAYNE NEWSOM'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

He competes strong near the basket and is very active in retrieving loose balls on both ends of the court. He works very hard too on both sides of the possession.

Wayne has been making strides in his ballhandling, short perimeter jumping. He does a terrific job in practice and in open workouts.

PREVIOUS RECRUITING HISTORY:

Several Ivy League schools, many low division one basketball programs had expressed interest over the past year. However, Newsom has decided to take a scholarship offer from division two school, Caldwell College.

"He signed with Caldwell and got an athletic scholarship," said a proud AAU head coach, Matt Pauls of Team NJABC. "He's going to have a great career there."
