New York City Guard Prospect Reclassifies

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides an update on the recruiting status of New York City senior guard prospect Danny Lawhorn, who competed for South Kent in Connecticut this past season ...

Danny Lawhorn, a 6-foot guard from South Kent School in Connecticut, told us he will take an additional year on the prep level. "I'm going to play for Roberson next season in New Jersey," Danny stated.

It was only last week that Danny said he decommitted to Fordham University after speaking to the new coaches who took over the Bronx based program.

Lawhorn, who had committed to the Rams before new head coach Tom Pecora (former Hofstra head coach) had taken the job, said he'll keep an open mind in his recruiting process.

Lawhorn, who is currently competing in the IS8 Spring League, indicated he's willing to look at any school interested in backcourt help over the next year.

DANNY LAWHORN'S SEASON AT SOUTH KENT:

Lawhorn had a terrific season for his team this season. He averaged 15 points and close to 12 assists a game.

EVALUATION OF DANNY LAWHORN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

*Lawhorn is a tough guard, willing to take the ball to the rim against the bigger bodies. He competes hard on both ends of the court.
