New York City Guard To Take A Prep Year

Danny Lawhorn, a 6-foot guard from South Kent School in Connecticut, said he is set to take an additional year on the prep level, opening up more options recruiting wise in the future.

Lawhorn stated: "I'm going to play for Roberson next season in New Jersey.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that the New York born backcourt player had decommitted to Fordham, shortly after speaking to the new coaching staff.

Lawhorn, who had committed to the Rams before new head coach Tom Pecora (former Hofstra head coach) had taken the job, indicated he's focusing on making himself a better player.

Danny, who is currently competing in the IS8 Spring League, said he'll look at all schools that show an interest this spring and summer.

DANNY LAWHORN'S SEASON AT SOUTH KENT:

Lawhorn had a terrific season for his team this season. He averaged 15 points and close to 12 assists a game.

EVALUATION OF DANNY LAWHORN'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

*Lawhorn is a tough guard, willing to take the ball to the rim against the bigger bodies. He competes hard on both ends of the court.
