Two-Sport Athlete Ready For Hoops AAU Circuit

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free look at the individual games of two-sport athlete Chandler Fraser-Pauls, who is expected to compete for Team NJABC this summer ...

Chandler Fraser-Pauls, a two-sport student/athlete from the Pennington School in New Jersey, is ready for another spring and summer of AAU play, competing for Team NJABC on the boy's basketball circuit.

We previously reported the talented athlete had accepted a scholarship from Lafayette to play soccer, according to family members. Boston University had also offered a scholarship.

His dad, Matt, also the head coach of the highly regarded AAU program, Team NJABC, also told us that Chandler will walk on and play for the Lafayette men's basketball team.

But the opportunity to play two sports at Lafayette was an attractive option for Chandler.

Fraser-Pauls, who helped his team win another Mercer County Championship, sparked his team to a 23-2 record in basketball this past season.

Fraser-Pauls, who averaged 16 points a game and five assists per contest his season as a junior, is a member of the 2011 class.

Chandler worked very hard on his mid-range perimeter game and landed many honors over the past month from the top newspapers in the New Jersey area.

In addition, he sharpened his floor general skills over the past season.

Fraser-Pauls, who competes at the midfield and forward positions for the soccer team, is interested in the field of coaching once he finishes up college.

He was one of the leading scorers in the area too.
