Final Look: Graduating Guard From The Bronx

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a free look at the individual game of graduating guard from All Hallows High School in the Bronx, New York ... the prospect will be playing division one basketball next season ...

Mike Alvarado, a 6-foot-2 backcourt prospect from All Hallows High School in the Bronx, New York, is likely to make an impact as a division one basketball player for several reasons.

First, he comes from a program that stresses fundamentals, team play, playing hard on each possession.

Second, Mike's individual game has improved over the past year.

Alvarado, who signed a National Letter of Intent in the Fall to play division one college basketball at Manhattan College, should have a solid four-year career due to his ability to play discipline basketball.

THE LAST TIME WE WATCHED MIKE PLAY IN PERSON:

Alvarado sparkled in the Jordan Brand Classic local all-star game held at Madison Square Garden. He scored 14 points on six of six from the floor. He also recorded two assists in 13 minutes of playing time.

EVALUATION OF MICHAEL ALVARADO'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

His play and improvement has been noticeable over the past two seasons. He does a nice job making basketball decisions and can help his team win a game in many ways.

Alvardo always competes hard on both sides of the ball too. He should be able to help the Manhattan basketball program as a freshman too as he played for a high school program that demands hard play both defensively and offensively. Taking a possession off wasn't tolerated at All Hallows.
