PLAYER PROFILE: Tyler Harris

HEIGHT: 6-foot-8

WEIGHT: 175 pounds

HIGH SCHOOL:Half Hollow Hills West High School in Dix Hills, New York (Long Island)

RESULTS OF THE HIGH SCHOOL SEASON:

Tyler had a terrific junior season. Harris scored 15 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, had four assists and four steals 94-66 victory over West Babylon High School in a battle of Long Island basketball programs.

We previously reported that Tyler's season was progressing nicely after Harris produced 19 points to help his team upend Bellport High School, 85-77. He also was very impressive on the defensive end, hauling down 10 rebounds. In addition, Harris distributed four assists in the victory.

In the big matchup so far this season, Harris ripped off 24 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and had three assists to help Half Hollow Hills West defeat a talented Brooklyn based Bishop Loughlin team, 75-72.

POSITIONS: Shooting Guard/Small Forward

CLASS: 2011 Class, a rising senior

AAU PROGRAM: Albany City Rocks, Westchester Hawks, Unique All Stars (will compete for them in the IS8 Spring League).

AAU HEAD COACH: Torrel Harris, Unique All Stars

RECRUITING UPDATE:

"Tyler will be taking unofficial visits to the University of North Carolina on June 21st, North Carolina State the following day and Rutgers on June 23rd," Mr. Harris said.

"Next week, Tyler plans on taking trips to Syracuse, Connecticut and Seton Hall."

MIKE SULLIVAN'S EVALUATION:

STRENGTHS: Moves well without the basketball. He gives his guards a passing lane by finding the right spots to take his shot. He's quick near the rim too.
