East Coast Forward Ready For Big Summer

Reporter Mike Sullivan provides a recruiting update on former New Jersey based forward Eric Fanning, who will play for Matt Pauls' Team NJABC AAU basketball program this summer ...

Eric Fanning, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound power forward/small forward prospect from The Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, has been reclassified to the 2012 class.

Fanning is looking forward to competing on the AAU circuit in July. "I will be attending Florida (Super Showcase) and I still play for Team NJABC," he said.

Eric has seen his recruiting pick up too. "My recruiting is Army, Citadel, St.Francis, and Quinnipiac right now," he stated.

Team NJABC head coach Matt Pauls, considered among the best program directors in the country, has expressed positive thoughts about Fanning's individual game.

WHAT MATT PAULS PREVIOUSLY SAID ABOUT ERIC FANNING AND HIS INDIVIDUAL GAME:

"He practices hard all the time, always looking to make improvements in his game."

Pauls told us previously that Fanning had interest from programs that compete in the Ivy League, MAAC, NEC, Southern Conference and America East.

PREVIOUS EVALUATION OF ERIC FANNING'S INDIVIDUAL GAME:

Eric is a solid student too, opening up some academic options if he wishes to explore them over the next couple of years.

Eric competes very hard on both ends of the court, working hard on every possession, treating each situation wisely.
