Greensboro clash tops NC slate of games

The opening week of the high school football season was crazy.  How crazy you may ask?  Five defending state champions lost their opening game and about every substantial winning and losing streak was snapped.

So this is the week we get back to normal?  Not so fast my friend!

An Earthquake on Tuesday, a Hurricane this weekend, and a large dose of varsity football being played on Thursday.  That just doesn't seem normal for me.

Last week our Dandy Dozen turned out to be quite a Dandy.  This week there aren't as many marquee games but there are still some key matchups and interesting storylines.

Could Northern Guilford lose their first game of the season and make it six of eight defending champs that lose their first game?  If I were a betting man I might take that bet considering that they're playing Greensboro Page, but if there is one thing I've learned about Johnny Roscoe coached teams is that they're very well prepared and find a way to win.

Let us not forget that Northern Guilford has an 87% winning percentage since the doors opened.  I know they've only played three seasons but their 36-5 all-time record is impressive.
