"My visit to Purdue was great," said Jela Duncan. "I loved it."
When asked what he enjoyed the most, Duncan did not hesitate.
"My favorite part of the visit was the game. They played with a high level of intensity," he said.
The trip also gave Duncan a chance to get a feel for the Boilermakers' coaching staff.
"I loved the coaches. They are all about winning and they let me know that I am the No. 1 running back on their board," Duncan said.
The Charlotte running back also got to see the academic side of Purdue. He came away very impressed with the West Lafayette, Indiana campus.
"The campus was beautiful," he said. "They also have one top engineering programs in the country and I am going to major in architectural engineering."
Recently Duncan claimed that Duke was his leader. The visit seemed to open Duncan's eyes and he will now reevaluate his situation.
"I do not have a top school right now. I am planning on coming up with a top five in the next few weeks," said Duncan. "Other than Purdue, I am still looking at Duke, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, East Carolina, and North Carolina. Utah and Vanderbilt have also been sending me stuff lately, so I am going to check them out too."
He currently has one other official visit lined up. The Mallard Creek star will go to Pittsburgh on November 5 for Cincinnati game. Duncan plans to take all five official visits and he will likely wait and make his decision on National Signing Day. The school he chooses will need to have several things.
"First, I am going to go somewhere that has good academics. It is also going to have to be a place that I can see myself staying for four years," he said. "With football, I want to feel at home and be part of a great football program."
Duncan has run for nearly 1,400 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. He also has close to 300 yards receiving and one touchdown reception.
