Charlotte OL Hearing from Several Schools

Mallard Creek is one of the best teams in the country. The Mavericks have a strong senior class, but their junior class is already creating quite a buzz on the recruiting trail. One of those 2013 prospects is Tevin Lawshe.

Tevin Lawshe (6'4/260) of Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, N.C. is beginning to hear from several colleges. Four schools have shown the most interest in the junior offensive lineman.

"Recruiting is going pretty well right now," said Lawshe. "I am hearing from Tennessee, North Carolina, Duke, and South Carolina the most. I am also starting to hear from Auburn."

He has visited all of those schools; except Auburn. One school is recruiting Lawshe the hardest.

"Right now, Duke is has recruiting me the hardest. I really like my recruiting coach, Coach Lubick. I think they could be close to offering," he said.

Lawshe recently visited Tennessee and will make another trip this weekend.

"I am going to Duke for the Wake Forest game this weekend," Lawshe said.

The 2013 prospect is currently wide open, but he does know what he is looking for in a school.

"I want to go to a college that has a good family atmosphere and somewhere that I can do well academically," he said.

Lawshe is still waiting on is first scholarship offer. However, with his athleticism and size, I expect that to change very soon. He currently bench presses 305 pounds and squats 405. Mallard Creek is currently 8-0 this season. They are the top ranked team in North Carolina and No. 27 in the Scout Top 50.
