Prediction- Mallard Creek 35, Page 25
PrepNC.com Game of the Week
This state semifinal game is matchup between two 4AA heavyweights. Page and Mallard Creek are both 13-0. Each school has been dominant throughout the season. Page is led by quarterback James Summers, a North Carolina State commit and Shrine Bowl selection. Summers is a big-time athlete. The senior quarterback is a threat with both his arm and legs. He has thrown for nearly 1,200 yards and run for another 1,300. Page also has senior running back Drew Rogers, who has run for over 1,600 yards. Mallard Creek, who will have to make the trip to Greensboro, has a bevy of major college prospects. The Mavericks have US Army-All American offensive tackle and Florida commit D.J. Humphries. However, the key will probably be running back Jela Duncan, who is a Shrine Bowl selection. He has run for over 2,100 yards this season. Both teams have high-powered offenses, but the team that makes the crucial plays on the defensive side of the ball will likely prevail.
