Derrell Scott (5'11/185) of Havelock High School in Havelock, N.C. is becoming a major college football prospect. Last season, Scott rushed for over 1,800 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also averaged 11.5 yards per carry. The talented 2014 prospect already has scholarship offers from North Carolina, South Carolina, and East Carolina. He is also hearing from Clemson, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, and Wake Forest.

Scott has all the tools to become one of the top running backs in his class. He is a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball. The Rams' star runs well inside the tackles and on the perimeter. Scott has quick feet and great vision. He shows great balance and is an instinctive runner. The sophomore also has tremendous speed and really attacks the line of scrimmage. Scott bench presses 250 pounds, squats 355, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.
