Williams Still Toying With Three

With close friend Kendric Burney naming North Carolina as his leader, many thought Deunta Williams would follow suit since the duo are apparently a package deal. However, Williams is sticking with his three favorites – North Carolina, N.C. State, and Virginia.

"There's still not a leader at this point," said Deunta Williams. "I still have my top three; I'm leaning towards them still."

However, Williams, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound athlete from Jacksonville (N.C.) White Oak, actually hopes to have everything ironed out by the end of the summer.

"I really want to [commit] before my senior football season," said Williams. "So I can just go out and play and have fun and not worry about [recruiting]."

To narrow his list down to one final school, Williams will camp at all three schools this summer.

"I just want to spend some time at each one not really for the training," said Williams. "I'll just stay up there to associate with the team, see how life is at each particular school, and talk to the coaches to see how I fit in. Whichever one is the best I'll just pick that one."

Williams hasn't seen an increase in his offer count, which stands at eight, but revealed that Wake Forest and Florida seem close to offering.
