Although players participating in the practice will have a better chance of making the final roster of 44, seniors posting a solid season could also find themselves playing in the Shrine Bowl come December.
"A player who isn't invited to the practice that has a good year could make the Shrine Bowl," said NC head Shrine Bowl coach Benny McMurray.
The staff's selections will be mostly based on what they observed from the five Shrine Bowl Combines held throughout the state. Snow Hill (Greene Central HS), Rockingham (Richmond SHS), Asheville (A.C. Reynolds HS), Charlotte (Butler HS) and Jamestown (Ragsdale HS) have all hosted a combine.
Invitations for the practice will be sent out Monday afternoon.
