Radford Commits to Hokies?

Back in June, Devin Radford received his first scholarship offer from Virginia Tech. Not even a month later, Radford became the Hokies' second verbal commitment – or did he?

According to sources, Radford, 5-foot-9, 175-pound athlete from Fayetteville (N.C.) Smith, gave his verbal pledge to the Virginia Tech coaching staff Saturday during the Hokies' one-day camp. However, Radford's parents aren't quite ready to make any decisions public.

"We rather not say," said Radford's father. "We haven't signed any agreement and we don't want to put anything out."

Regardless, there is no denying the fact that Virginia Tech currently owns a strong lead for Radford's February signature.

"Virginia Tech is the school I like the most right now," said Radford. "It's one of the schools that I've looked up to since I was small. I like the program and what they have to offer, and their fast pace offense."

Although Virginia Tech is Radford's lone offer, North Carolina, Virginia, Duke, N.C. State, Wake Forest, South Carolina, and East Carolina are recruiting the speedster very hard.

According to his parents, Radford, he is being recruited by the Hokies to play tailback and defensive back, will make an official announcement in the upcoming months.
